Penwell ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Vargas Solutions. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Penwell mobile application and related services.
Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
Content You Create: Photos, videos, text messages, and voice profile calibration text that you provide when creating greeting cards.
Recipient Information: Phone numbers and contact names you provide when sending greeting cards. We use this information solely to deliver cards on your behalf.
Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics about app usage to improve the service, including feature usage patterns and error reports.
When you send a greeting card, the recipient may receive an SMS or MMS message from our phone number (707) 736-6363 containing a link to view their card. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out of future messages. Reply HELP for support information.
We do not send marketing messages to recipients. Messages are sent only when a Penwell user creates and sends a specific greeting card to a specific recipient. See our SMS Policy for full details on consent, opt-out, and message frequency.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and message delivery (for example Twilio, our SMS provider), is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure in the United States. Photos and videos are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest.

Your account data and greeting card content are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Penwell is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
